I’m very early on in my transition so 99% of people’s experiences are going to be made with myself before transition. As long as people are trying I don’t really care about the success rate. However with my brother in law, he transitioned really young so he prefers nobody really even know his deadname at all.
It’s best practice to never use someone’s deadname though.
Is it really deadnaming if you’re explicitly talking about them pre-transition?
that depends on who you ask, not all trans people are ok with you referring to their pre-transition selves with their deadname
