Remember, you’re always worth more than a fetish <3

Maybe I’m ignorant but what if they’re a chaser and you date them? Like as long as they love you it’s ok right? Maybe I’m terminally lonely but, if someone was to take interest in me I’d love it…

It’s like any person from a minoritized group dating a person who views them as a fetish object. They don’t view you as a unique individual, only as a physical embodiment of something they find sexy. Even for a casual hookup, they might not respect boundaries or be interested in making you feel good. If they’re actually a good partner, it’s because they care about you as a person.

The real problem with chasers isn’t them having a thing for trans people, but being incapable of humanizing you beyond that identity. That kind of partner will never give you a good time

Fuck. This one hurts. This is mostly the reason why I don’t have a partner, and never have.

I’m sorry to come across as ignorant, but exactly is a “chaser”? Googling “femcel chaser” didn’t really…clarify anything…

It refers to people who “chase” after trans people, but are only interested in the trans part (and usually only sexually) and not the actual person. It’s very objectifying.

And for additional context, femcel communities often have lots of trans women in them, probably something about trans people being stigmatized, perceived as ugly, etc. - we are seen as losers, have difficulty finding sexual partners, generally struggle with mental health, and so are natural candidates for identifying with femcels.

lol, yes - not a coincidence the femcel meme community on a trans server is filled with trans women 😆 probably also important context

Someone already gave you a good answer but I thought I’d chime in with some word association–its the same vibe as someone with a fetish for a certain race
