    i hate that i knew i was trans since as far back as i remember even if i didn’t know i was trans. blobcat, cry

      Yeah it sucks. In hindsight it’s clear that I’ve known since childhood but it took me another 20 years to know.

      “not trans”

      like how the opposite of “homosexual” is “heterosexual”. “cisgender” is the opposite of “transgender”

      Both terms are common in other sciences¹ as well, where “cis” means “unchanged, on the same side” whereas “trans” means “changed, on the opposite side”

    I do find it quite instructive to not being an asshole, when you chat to folks whose life choices you can’t immediately relate to.
