- On Monday, Trump called himself a “fine and brilliant young man” while criticizing Harris.
She raised more money in a single day than Trump, the convicted felon and traitorous, treasonous, lying coward pedophile rapist.
It was her FIRST day, ever, as Presidential candidate.
And it was money raised through small donations. Something like a half million donors were donating for their first time.

That is… well, it sounds remarkable. What are previous figures for candidates?
In 2020, there were only 2 million individual donors, to any candidate or party, for the entire cycle. A million in a weekend is pretty impressive.

Yeah, I mean technically. I dunno, it’s a little bit tough to say that since there’s nobody else in the race (and thus she’s the only one with any momentum at all). She got the nod from the current president and the non-binding support of enough delegates to clinch the nomination. It’s not like there’s a whole lot of doubt that she’s going to be the nominee, unless something unexpected goes down over the next few days.
And to be clear, I don’t think that diminishes how impressive her feat is. I just think it’s more about the fact that she’s managed to reinvigorate the entire political center-left in just a few days, and flip this race from “a 2020 rerun” to “something completely new.”

Leave it to Trump to try and suggest that 79 is “young”, rather than play up the wisdom and experience angle. I’m not sure how anyone can support a leader who consistantly denies objective reality in the name of fluffing his ego. But there are a lot of reasons to deny Trump the presidency long before something as relatively small as his hubris. Well, small relative to being a known rapist and convicted felon, anyway.
Let me guess, they plan to push retirement age to 90 or later? Full retirement age for Social Security starts at 67 (since 1960).

In what paradise do you live where you can retire at 59? Even if Harris serves two terms she would only be 67, which is exactly at retirement age.
You can withdraw from 401k penalty free at 59 and 1/2 years old. That’s what this is probably referring to. Regardless there’s still a massive age difference between her and Biden/Trump.
