It’s the natural evolution of unchecked right wing power and greed in a capitalist system, it’s pretty much as far right as you can go. Get the “right” person in power, the right propaganda systems in place, the “right” economic hardships in place and you can easily manipulate enough people to let you become a dictator and even want you to become dictator.

Trick them with excessive nationalistic theater and they believe they’re being “patriots” defending their country from the big bad enemy you’ve made of your political opposition. You cannot allow that opposition to ever regain power that could threaten you so you literally crush them and the machinery that allows them to grasp at power.

It’s pretty much all about power and greed with a disgusting dash of sadism.

I’d argue we never really were anything different, we just had a decent streak of cowards running the show that just wanted to satisfy endless greed without rocking the boat too much. There is no war but the class war.

The problem is how these people view “fairness.”

To them it’s “unfair” that “I have to work and buy my own food, while you take my hard earned money and give it to someone who doesn’t work!” (Not my mentality, just providing their argument)

Unless I’m mixing two articles I read recently, the old man that claimed he was actually the shooter had pictures of little girls in underwear on his phone

When Kirk was shot an old man jumped up and said he did it because apparently he wanted to help the shooter get away but they weren’t connected as far as we know (that guy ended up having child porn or something on his phone I think weirdly enough) Then police grabbed another person who they thought looked similar to the shooter, but wasn’t him.

The shooter went home and eventually confessed to his father that it was him so his father contacted a local ex deputy friend and they brought him in. He was technically a sniper I guess, he used a rifle with a scope and I believe the distance he shot from was not insignificant.
