      As somebody who has worked that (on the civilian side), turnover is too high (deployments) to put active duty folks anywhere important in IT; nobody is in one place long enough to learn things at a deep level.

      Its still gonna suffer tho, federal employees are generally underpaid for IT work and frankly nobody with any sense trusts federal employment anymore.

        You sound like my mom, all doom and gloom. I have to hope it ends in four years because it’s all I can hope for. If it gets really bad I’ll make a break for Canada.
