I guess a few agents get to slack off for a while rather than actually work. I know if I were in their position, I’d just be “following up on possible leads” for a while.

Honestly, for an FBI agent, it’s insulting to be asked to do special monitoring for an unelected official’s private business. They have more important things to do.

The police are there to protect the business interests of the richest man in the world.

They call regular people “terrorists” for daring to stand up to fascism in any small way.

They start a manhunt for the murder of the CEO of a health insurance company while ignoring the murders of countless regular people every day.

Private property is protected, while it’s been made illegal to be homeless.

What a sick and decrepit society.

No? Then this is all a waste of time. I shall continue doing so unabated.

This really does illustrate the idea that police aren’t there to “serve and protect.” They are there to keep the common people in line so that the rich can stay safe.

Mask off moment. Their purpose is to protect capital. The only crimes that cops prevent are through deterrence because they are crime punishers, not crime preventers.

they are crime punishers, not crime preventers.

This isn’t unique to the US. It is called law enforcement so even if it wasn’t a completely broken and horseshit system crime prevention would not be part of their purview.

You prevent/reduce crime by addressing the underlying societal issues that are contributing to it.

    Good.

Targeting a car company because you dislike its eccentric owner is legit crazy. It’s just as stupid as not buying something because it was manufactured or comes from Israel.

Grow up and stop acting like a child.

It’s not boycotting when Tesla owners are being harasses, assaulted, having their vehicles damaged, and receiving death threats over the car they drive.

Boycotting Israeli products is mandated by international law. Anything that helps Israel maintain the illegal occupation of the Westbank, Gaza and East Jerusalem is complicity and illegal. Israel launders products that are made in occupied territory and resources stolen in occupied territory as “made in Israel”. But even if product would have been made purely in the 1967 Israeli borders, the companies still pay taxes that are used to finance the army that is doing the occupation.

If you think that upholding international law is crazy or childish i recommend you to look at the period from 1933 to 1945 that is often given as the reason why there was an effort to create international law.

Yes, agreed on first part. Damaging vehicles causes unnecessary harm to car owners and the environment. I am for protest but not when it negatively impacts what you partially stand for.

Disagree about negatively judging people around their buying/boycotting rationales.
