Hey everyone, I recently got an orchiectomy, I am over the moon!
One if the main reason I got this surgery was dysphoria in my testicules, now that that is gone I discovered I am actually quite fond of my penis, it’s neat cool and original lol, and I’d like to use it for piv or similar. However I find myself in a slight predicament since when fully erect it feels kind of painful.
I assumed this was atrophy but I’ve been using it more than daily for months and I initially had atrophy, the pain isn’t the same.
Indeed it feels more like the skin around the penis is tight like if there was too much pressure inside, after looking my symptoms someone over on Reddit said that they had that problem too and fixed it using testosterone cream.
Do any of you gals have had experience with testosterone cream, does it work, did it raise your systemic testosterone?
Thanks for reading <3

Testosterone cream can raise your blood levels of T, and cis men who use testosterone cream find that applying to the scrotum and genitals has better absorption and higher blood levels than applying it elsewhere (like arms or thighs).
I haven’t personally used T cream, but I suspect it’s a matter of dose and frequency - if you use a small amount locally on the relevant tissue and not too frequently, hopefully it won’t be a problem for your blood T levels and the phallus tissue will still benefit.
The problems with Dr. Powers aside, this might be helpful:

tl;dr get a prescription for 0.25% testosterone cream, apply 1 pump once a week to the genitals before bed

Note: testosterone is a controlled substance and is harder to find DIY, so this generally requires getting a Rx from a doctor (hopefully you have a supportive endocrinologist overseeing your transition that can help here).
I’ve been out of the loop for a while; what problems are there with Dr. Powers?
lol, I was trying to avoid this … A lot of people like Dr. Powers, but he has some issues.
So, first of all, Dr. Powers gets a lot wrong, factually - he is confidently incorrect and when transfemscience wrote an article correcting him, he threatened to sue.
Some of his patients have horror stories, here’s an example.
I think some of the “Powers Method” is good, like rectal administration of progesterone, and using bica instead of spiro, but those are good ideas independent of Dr. Powers and he didn’t come up with them.
For example, my own endo, who had never heard of Dr. Powers, independently arrived at the idea that bica was a better anti-androgen than spiro and suggested it.
Dr. Powers has a bit of a cult following, and I don’t really want to get into a flame war over him - so I’ll just say there are problems people can point to, and I’m suggesting we overlook those problems in this context because I think the dose and concentration of testosterone gel he recommends for penile atrophy is accurate and helpful.
Ahh, yeah that makes sense… when I first started HRT I thought some of the stuff I heard he was doing was interesting but I never got caught up in the cult of personality. Well, maybe a little, but I wasn’t a very emotionally healthy person and I’m well past that.
Ego is a hell or a drug and it does sound like he has a lot of it.
