To a conservative, freedom is second or third behind respecting authority and corporations are king.
There is a reason they love Trump - he’s a wanna be dictator. There’s a reason they cheer tax cuts for business and the wealthy while they get screwed.
Yes, perfectly on brand.

Wow, for once I am in agreement with Fox News.

Smells once per week is a lot different than pot smoke several times per day, every day.
Spacebar@lemmy.mltoLemmy Support@lemmy.ml•Why are there automatically banned users on my instance?English2·2 years agoIf they are banned on their home instance, then are they banned everywhere? Does it work like an email address, where if your hosting server (Gmail for instance) bans your email address, then you can no longer send or recieve emails?
So if your home lemmy server bans you, then how could you ever post anywhere else?
If you see a thread on Reddit that you are interested in, consider making a similar one here.
I don’t want a reddit 2.0, I want what lemmy may become on its own.
My shop is imakewoodenbowls.com but these are not on there. I’m selling at an artist fair this weekend and they will be sold there.
I agree. Lemmy doesn’t have to replace Reddit, it just has to be a working alternative.
Over time Lemmy may gain a much wider audience, but as long as it has enough users to be entertaining and informative, then it will be a good alternative to corporate social media.
Because they don’t have the artistic skill themselves and they are parasitic by nature? So they latch onto a tool that itself is a parasite?
Reddit is too popular now. They’re going to have an IPO eventually and then it will really go down hill.
Might as well get on the ground floor of something new.

My question is, what are those conservative ideas apart from “tax cuts”, “no” and “not like that”?

I’m 51 and started using the internet before HTML was a thing. This feels polished but also old school in a usenet / mud / telnet kind of way.
I’m liking it a lot.
How many people will you actually miss from Reddit once this takes off?
And.now you’ve been “unfairly” banned here on lemmy.ml.
What you people don’t understand is that intolerance isn’t a right. No one has to, and no one ever should, tolerate you being intolerant of others.
