Personally I picked up a cheap used photo scanner off of eBay
You won’t need the fanciest newest print for your photos, trust me
The main benefit is it’s really cheap, I got my Epson V37 for $30, so if it breaks oh well. The replacement parts are dirt cheap, it’s repairable AF, and it’s small.
Is it fast? No. Absolutely not. Especially if you have thousands of pictures.
Is it easy? Very much so. I got my scanner up and scanning in 5 minutes and that’s because I had to find a USB B cable in my drawer.
Is it the best? Probably not, but the scanner can scan the whole bed to a resolution of 128ish MP. And you can fit multiple pictures on the bed.
Or you can head to a local library that has a scanner.
Cheapest? For sure, library cards are usually all you need to use the scanner.
Best? Their scanners will be way higher quality (usually) than the $30 eBay special.
Fastest? Probably faster at the very least as they’ll likely be newer using newer tech.
Basically it’s going to take you say 30 seconds a pic ideally (Yes, that’s a lot of hand waving but bare with me) and if you have thousands it’s about to be this coming years hobby.
