I just saw Black Widow. Yelena and Natasha say they don’t have any ovaries because the Red Room surgically removed them. That means no estrogen. But those women have definitely been through puberty. If you don’t have any estrogen or testosterone, your bones get weak like a child’s bones. That’s no good for being a super assassin. And I don’t think the Black Widow is on testosterone injections. She’s not hairy enough for it. So is she taking estradiol pills?

The Red Room hands out estrogen pills as yet another form of control. If you don’t behave, you don’t get your daily fix. You can tell the non-compliant girls by the lack of secondary sex characteristics. Ol Washboard Wendy over there is a rebel!

It’s possible there’s something in the super-soldier serum that offsets it. Who knows. It’s a fictional universe with gods and super powered beings and actual intelligent AI.

Black Widows are not given a super soldier serum.

Edit: I’m way behind on comic storylines

Oh, last I remembered Black Cat had the super soldier serum, didn’t know the windows got them too.

MCU Hulk was created when Banner was tasked with recreating the super soldier serum. I’ll give them credit for NOT running with “everyone gets super soldier serum”.

Yeah, black cat was created in an attempt to recreate captain America’s formula and everything was destroyed again. At least that’s how I remember.

Kinda sorta, they had the Russian version that wasn’t as good. No one ever repeated the kind of success Cap saw, (that I know of)

I thought she had a modified version. Though that could have been something from the comics.

I think you’re right because I’m way behind on the comic stories and you’re not the only one who thinks so.

      Ah, the third sex hormone

Does that mean she’s transgender? She identifies as a woman but the Red Room assigned her Widow

Given the USSR’s proclivity towards handing out endocrine disrupting drugs to athletes over the last 50 years, I’m gonna go with “that’s the least of their concern”.

She could be on testosterone and own a razor. 5 hours spent shaving her monobrow to look good for a 5m fight is time well spent.

There’s also estrogen patches and injections
