so many people say they support me even if i have autism and bipolar. they say they don’t mind, that they want to help me. they’re lying. they take it for granted, think i’m weird for something i cant control, take advantage of me and abuse me.

my friend lied about being this very supportive person who believes in equality. she hates me for being bipolar and autistic. she lied.

a girl broke up with me because im bipolar. she called me a creep and a psychopath.

    Lot of feelings but not much details here. I’m sorry you feel this way, but I get wary when I hear “everyone is against me” type of talking. Is it possible, sure, absolutely. It’s also a possibility that your condition is making it difficult to understand their perspectives just as it makes it difficult for them to understand your perspectives.

    If these people are so terrible to you, cut them out of your life. Or do the work to establish proper two way communication. There’s a language barrier that needs to be overcome.

    i know you don’t know me, but i have autism, adhd, and bipolar. i support you and others, and i don’t lie about my feelings. also, the girl is ignorant. having a mental illness doesn’t make you a creep, and bipolar =/= aspd, but i wouldn’t use “psychopath” as an insult for someone who has it.

    I also have bipolar II / autism. It can definitely be a grind. I’m v lucky that I am self employed in a creative field, where my oddness is valued.

    The most difficult aspect of life for us is, imo, dating. Especially with the rise of ‘the ick’ phenomenon. Neurotypicsl people usually make a v quick internal judgement that we’re ‘weird’ or ‘unsuitable for friendship’ (very illuminating and sad study on this I read recently).

    During the pandemic, I got heavily into stoic philosophy, along with some Buddhist learnings. Not mastered either but they’ve been a bigger help than medication I take.
