You don’t have to work whole day every day, it was propaganda made up by big billionaire to earn more money.

      Depends on life circumstances.

I need to bring in 650/wk in personal income to stay afloat. My business needs to bring in $1200/wk to pay me and my apprentice. But i actually need to be clearing $2000/wk in business income to maintain long-term sustainability as a company. It’s just me and one employee, who is really a partner in training. So yes, i gotta work all day, every day. When the sun is shining I make hay, and when it’s down I do the books. At some point I fit in household chores, and when I’m taking a shit I post on Lemmy.

Do corporations make that necessary? Absolutely. Particularly “property management” corporations that raise rent prices by buying up houses and renting them at extortion levels. Not too mention corporations that raise cost of living prices and call it “inflation”.

Can I do anything to not have to pay higher rent and grocery bills? Not a blessed thing.

So I work. And work. And work. Because my choices are to work, kill myself, or kill someone else. The last two aren’t really options for me
