(Not that it requires a justification either way. It’s a personal choice.)

My bio teachers last name was “MoCock.” His wife’s first name is "Love."We just called him,“Mr. Mo”. I think it’s crazy she took his name, lmao.

I know a girl named Paige that married a man with the last name Page.

We call her Page 2. It’s also fun when they disagree and I ask if they can get on the same page.

I have a friend named Blair who married a man with the last name Blair. We call her “Blair Squared” and she hates it.

Yeah, 2015 (kind of). How’s the couch? Apparently, Mr. Bojangles is still alive. I’m on the couch too, no judgment lol. Also, he’s really kind if you hit him up. PM me. I don’t want to get doxxed. I’m not sure if that means anything to you. If you know me, you can look at my username and know who I am. I say some pretty radical stuff on lemmy, so I’d prefer to keep my cards to my chest.

Nah lol. 2005 here, i wont know you. Small world though. Mr mo was new the year I took his class. For sure on the doxxing.

Also, don’t treat lemmy any different than any other site. Nobody is above being subpoenad and people hosting these instances would be, if anything, more susceptible and more pliable to law enforcement.

I never thought I would mind changing my last name when getting married until it actually happened, and I was surprisingly emotional about it. It felt like I was erasing my identity or something, a totally unexpected feeling that came out of nowhere. It was also weird to have to change my signature after having it for so many years.

We ended up getting divorced 7 years later and I reclaimed my maiden name, and needless to say, if I ever get married again, I will not be changing my last name. It was also a nightmare of paperwork to change it (both to get married and divorced), and I don’t want to do that yet again.

My wife and I have been married for a few years now and the pharmacy still has her name hyphenated as maidenname-legalname because that was the only way to get the prescriptions consistently processed by insurance

My sister’s first marriage didn’t go well, and her name finally got changed from her maiden name to her married name like the week after they filed for divorce.

I was treated by a Dr Payne once … contrary to his name, he wasn’t a pain.

Ya know… I thought about that later, too. Not sure about intentionally getting married to someone with a last name that fits your profession, though.

My dudes… Dr. Strange is my new neighbor!

She’s a veteran… but I’m kind of an animal so I figure it should be OK 😎

Also; 2 cats, one of which is definitely smarter than the average bear… the other, is orange.
