A wisk and some elbow grease is the way to go

No need to buy any expensive fancy equipment, just a cheap metal wisk and some prepackaged cake mix will make some great memories

Don’t get me wrong, those home made cakes are usually made day of when I make them. And usually a little later in the day than they should be lol

Mayonnaise cake is another option to minimize elbow grease.

Life hack for OP and anyone else who ends up in this situation:

    • Take boxed cake mix of your choosing.
    • MOSTLY follow the package instructions. However:
    • Add one extra egg (for example, if it calls for 2 eggs use 3)
    • Substitute oil with 2x butter (for example, if the recipe asks for ⅓ cup oil use ⅔ cup melted butter.)
    • Simple, easy, pro-tier cake.

That one year where I was buying a new piece of kitchen equipment right before every holiday 😅
