Since people are concerned about having a space where they don’t have to constantly justify their political leaning I’m creating a community specifically for anarchist & adjacent folks.

It will have a strict no electioneering rule.

It seems pretty clear to me that the kind of politics you’re describing is not acceptable on this instance, considering what happened to Libertyhub.

I’m not sure where this idea comes from. Libertyhub is explicitly welcome on blahaj.zone. I’ve actively refused many requests to remove it.

Queer and gender diverse folk with genuinely held beliefs on politics that directly impact them are welcome to express them and talk about them.

      considering what happened to Libertyhub.

There have been zero admin actions against the LibertyHub community or its mods from Blahaj Zone admins as a result of any of the recent events. The moderator stepping down and handing over ownership was internal to that community.

If not here then where? The Admins have been supportive of LibertyHub. Any time you try to carve out a space for this kind of political content it will be met with resistance by those entrenched in imperialisms paradigms. Hopefully, through clearly defined community guidelines the level of drama surrounding it can be minimized, but I doubt it can be eliminated as long as there are centrists on the platform at all.

This is the rule as currently written:

No electioneering, you have almost the entirety of the internet to promote your preferred candidate.

If people saying “don’t vote, both sides are the same” and the like is understood to be electioneering I think this would be fair.

@MindTraveller@lemmy.ca what do you mean by “attempts to prevent a candidate from being elected”? Do you think anarchist conspire to stop people who want to vote from voting? Do you mean just criticizing your preferred politician at anytime? Are you even interested in anarchism?
