      matrix is another federated platform, but for chatting. The most popular client is Element, which is a web app. just make yourself an account and dm me your account name and I’ll add you to the room that I make!!

            I get an error from Element that says “the application is not able to create an account on this homeserver. Do you want to signup using a web client?”

            Saying Yes to this prompt brings me to a dead link.

      there’s websites out there to compare servers based on their listed policies, I use catgirl.cloud because it looks pretty good on paper, haven’t been using it for very long though so idk
