It fucking does not and does everything in its power to stop kids from transitioning. No kid can just show up somewhere and be given hormones. No one is profiting off of selling hormones. It wasn’t commodified nearly to the extent it is now, so a large portion of it existed merely because of people’s passion. There were no super sites of information like reddit, so people would create their own websites and forums dedicated to one subject. Forums still had their arguments, but it wasn’t nearly as vitriolic as social media is now. Search really, really sucked until Google came along. Slow as balls.

I’m not. They’re the ones outlawing abortion and trying to eliminate trans people. They’re the ones that are okay with discrimination and bigotry. They’re the ones okay with rounding up immigrants and sending them to camps. There is no reason to tolerate their intolerance and their ideology is based upon oppressing anyone that isn’t male, rich, and white.

Physical dependence is different than addiction. An addiction is actively detrimental to your ability to live your life and causes you harm. Yes, your body becomes dependent on SSRIs and getting off of them is a journey, but they allow the people that need them to function in everyday life. Addiction does not do that.
