You can not apply logic to religion. It has to fail at some point, otherwise it would not be religion but science.

Honestly I think they’re moving away from the sex stuff with Slaanesh’s characterization, and I kinda like one possibility for where that could take them

The eye of terror opens with Slaanesh’s birth, and only doesn’t explode into the great rift because of the Blackstone on Cadia holding it as closed as it can without being repaired.

Event Horizon is often jokingly theorized to be about humanity’s first contact event with the warp, and people will sometimes treat chaos portals as functioning similarly to black holes.

There’s a little known fact out there that you can create a black hole by making a loud enough sound, and Slaanesh’s big thing aside from sex and drugs is copious amounts of sound, their special chosen marines are even called noise marines.

So what I like to imagine, is that the Great Rift is in fact a Kugelschreik (where a Kugelblitz is a black hole made by forcing enough light into one place), a galaxy spanning black hole ripped open by Slaanesh’s screams of tearing themself into existence in the warp on the back of overwhelming Eldar agony in the name of excess and sensation.

In my homeland we have several creative slurs that translate directly to English pretty hilariously. Among my favorites are “I fuck your god” but I also love “I fuck your goat,” “my dick hurts” (usually you say this when you just don’t care about something, English version of I don’t give a shit I suppose), “I fuck your blood…” Basically just a litany of things fucking other things now that I think of it. Also my grandpa’s favorite was “eat shit” so they’re not so different after all 🙂

As though god wasn’t trans in the first place.

You gonna tell me a being with absolute power to just will anything into existence doesn’t tinker with their own identity, sexual or otherwise?? You’ve seen the biblically accurate angel depictions - replace eyes with a kaleidoscopic, everchanging conglomeration of penises, vaginas, cloacas, spore/pollen pouches, etc and that’s my bet on what the contents of god’s pants looks like.

The moistest part of the multiverse!!

If God cannot co-exist with people peacefully coming to terms with who they then God isn’t kind or tolerant. If God can be killed by the mere presence of such people then God is ridiculously fragile (which would explain why his followers are so swiftly threatened and outraged). I’m not trans or religious but I know my response to Mr. Greer - I would much rather have happy, healthy people replace an unkind, intolerant, and fragile “God”.

So God created humans in his image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them.

    • Genesis 1:27

It even uses the plural Elohim here.

So literally saying “They-God created humans in God’s male and female image.”

So in terms of the OP post - always has been.

The problem was Hebrew was a binary gendered language. Words were either male or female. No ‘parent’ just ‘mother’ or ‘father’ - so ‘he’ or ‘father’ didn’t necessarily reflect the intent of the message so much as the limitations of the medium.

This topic of getting rid of gender distinctions even came up in the early Christian apocrypha:

Jesus said to them, “When you make the two into one, […] and when you make male and female into a single one, so that the male will not be male nor the female be female, […] then you will enter [the kingdom].”

    • Gospel of Thomas saying 22

This part of Genesis 1 was a large contributing factor to Philio’s first century hermaphroditic “first Adam” and the later hermaphroditic “original man” among Gnostic sects or Adam Kadmon in Kabbalah.

Basically, the very opening of the Biblical text is pretty unequivocally clear there’s an original creation of humankind that’s both male and female in the image of a plural God, and then various groups had a myriad of juggling interpretations to make sense of it.

(The historical reality is likely that this connects back to the age of the worship of a divine couple which gets sloppily rewritten following monotheistic reforms, but that’s a comment for another day.)

Can Hailey answer the big questions to life?

Like why is molasses in the breakfast aisle next to the syrup instead of in the baking aisle next to the brown sugar and corn syrup? Why is honey hiding somewhere else entirely with the peanut butter and jelly?

Have you read the handbook of The Tyrant called ‘God?’ I’ll bet Hailey never told people to kill infants or beat your kids.
