Could be meant for bdsm purposes but I am lacking a partner for that. And I may be desperate but I am far from being THAT desperate. 💀

Being real for one second? Should I report it? I’m struggling if this is just bdsm or meant for less legal activities. Something’s telling me it’s not right to keep it up but how do you see it? :')

Bro it’s for snoring and sleep apnea. If you want to go into a hostage situation you won’t spend 25$ on a single mouth tape that is supposed to be comfortable. You just shove a sock in the victims’ mouth and use the cheapest tape available and go round his head 2 or 3 times for safety .

shove a sock in the victims’ mouth

Nah, skip the sock. It’s a choking hazard.

Tape across the mouth and some tape under their jaw to prevent opening

Can’t scream very loud if they can’t open their mouth and they won’t choke

… And I’m probably on a list now

Ah, aight. Glad I asked. And “hostage tape” sounded a bit like kidnapping lol. >.<

        Thanks for the clarification

It’s meant as an anti snoring aid. Forces you to breathe through your nose.

It’s a perfectly normal product, if questionable in efficacy since it’s basically anecdotal at best if it actually works.
They’re just leveraging the shock value of the name to get people to click and maybe buy them, since they’re more expensive.

Ah, never heard of that before lol. I was aware some folks try to stop snoring by learning circular breathing like it is used by wind-instrumentalists

There was a mouth taping TikTok trend I think last year that this is just someone grifting on.

I saw it leak onto insta via this ad a few months ago and went down this rabbit hole.

If I actually am taking hostages, I’m not using specialty, expensive tape. I’m just using duct tape. I think the name is just spicy branding.

People would pay 25$ for a bdsm bandaid. Have you considered changing your user to GeekFreakGirl ? Καλησπέρα!

Supposedly it’s for mouth-breathing at night. Helps prevent you from waking up with a dry mouth, and they also claim it has all sorts of other (not actually proven) health benefits. Not a BDSM thing, just good old fashioned “alternative” medicine.

To my defense, I asked my friends aswell and some of them didn’t get it either. Made me feel better to know I am not alone :')
