Mine is OOO for Out Of Office. I always misread it in my head like a ghost and it takes me a few seconds to process. It also doesn’t translate to speech—you have to say the whole thing.
Interested to see if others have similar acronyms they beef with.
The way the original words was pronounced doesn’t matter, or we’d pronounce “LASER” as “lah-seer”.
The peanut butter came first, is how I see it. Seniority and the feature of the image being easily shared (or GIFted) provide all the reasons I need for how I say it.
