One of the main reasons for adults to get evaluated/diagnosed is to access treatment options. It’s easy to see why an increase in this treatment options would see a corresponding increase in people seeking (and getting) a diagnosis.

This is not to excuse the horrible money grabbing that happens in the pharmaceutical industry, mind you.
