    I’ve only ever hear people refer to their chat as “chat” (like, “hey chat” or “look chat”) in those weird ads where twitch streamers I’ve never heard of order McDonald’s

      I’ve only watched a couple times, so it may have been an in-joke I didn’t fully understand, but Anthony Carboni seems to call his chat “Jeremy”.

        Calling twitch chat/the audience “chat” is far older than XQC has been a popular streamer. It was a thing since basically the dawn of twitch.

        I don’t know about that. I’ve been on twitch since at least 2013 and the people I’ve watched have always said chat.
