As a side note, some of you may be interested in the EU Funding & Tenders Portal, where such projects like the Fediversity receive grants.
So will they add public transit directions? That’s the main reason why I still use Google Maps.
The public transit routes are there, but not the timetables. To my understanding, those wouldn’t be a good fit with OSM’s goals / being a geo information system. Basically third party client apps will have to combine that kind of info from different sources.

I don’t think that the goal is for Germany to fund the entire project, but it helps. Other parties can also chip in.
I don’t think OSM is paying coastal US corporate salaries lol
I’m sure if we all dunk on it they’ll start to give more.
