I always say I’ll do my evil run after I complete my original run. Luckily, a new game is usually out to save me from being evil.
My wife has started her evil run of Baldur’s Gate 3 at least four times. She invariably gets to Baucus on the windmill, says “I can’t be mean to Barcus!” and reverts to a good guy playthrough again.
That’s the make or break for me too
I’ll definitely get through my evil run this time, it won’t stop at literally the first decision point because I don’t want to be mean
“Of course, Mister NPC, I will do the tedious, entirely optional side-quest with completely worthless rewards. You have had some rough times, I won’t leave you alone.”
Fable is the only game I have been “bad” for this reason.
i tried that and had to quit because i felt terrible for punching that kid getting bullied in the beginning of the game
Fortunately with Fable you can be nice at times and mean at others.
Quicksave it is
The world is filled with assholes, why would I want to act like one in the privacy of my own home where I don’t have to deal with anyone I don’t wish to?
Rude npc? Ded time
Chill npc with a nice coat? You can stay… For now…
Option to be a dick to people just because I can or it gives me slightly better rewards? Nah I’m good.
Just don’t ask why so many saves are directly in front of people…
