It’s a crazy take, even crazier in the comments, saying it was a lawful protest compared to other left leaning ptotests that happened in the years prior. There is no argument that can be made if they don’t see the blatant hypocrisy

I mean, technically yes. The courts didn’t prosecute Trump for his role in the coup attempt, and Trump pardoned everyone who faced legal penalty. Everything about Jan 6 has been determined to be okay and cool by the current US government.

It’s almost like things that are lawful are not inherently moral or right. Slavery is still lawful in the U.S.

It’s absurd because Biden wasn’t doing anything, like he was upholding the status quo, with limited efforts to patch up some issues.

Trump is straight up trying to gut the federal government and sell it for parts as well as legitimately trying to take away people’s rights, if not straight up make their existence a crime.

He’s also trying to do this with a pretty weak mandate. Most people who did want him wanted him for a specific policy and ignored the rest.

So he’s creating a huge amount of backlash while only appeasing a small group with each action.

If only someone could have responded with that… Too bad they’re in a circlejerk literal walled garden safe space where any “other” (unflaired) gets booted.

Completely oblivious conservatives that live in their own bubble and deny anything that inconvenience them? Picture me shocked!
