How is this legal? Elon Musk didn’t run for anything and didn’t get voted in by the people OR Congress.
I wonder how many times this question will be asked before Americans realize it’s not relevant. The theiretic legality of it doesn’t matter. There’s no one stop it so it’s happening. His supporters will support it under the guise of smashing the deep state. That’s all there is to it.
Does it matter? Legality is just and extensions of the will of the state. If you and your friends control every part of the state, then…?

Sadly true. Rule of Law, Checks & Balances, etc. They’re all completely meaningless now. There’s not even a veiled notion of adherence. The Supreme Court can and will twist words to justify anything as they wipe their asses with the Constitution.
Don’t give up that easily. There are many many federal courts, and the Supreme Court can only take so many cases a year.
Things are dire but we can’t just let it happen, we must demand rule of law, and make fun of all the stuff their lawyers do pretending to be legal.
The county didn’t want an autocratic government consolidating power, even though that’s who many people voted for. There is a power struggle happening and we need to support everybody who gets in their way.
On the one hand, Trump ordered the entire Federal government to give him all this access. On the other hand, most of this shit is massively illegal but anyone who says so is getting fired within 24 hours
If America has any hope of recovering from this domestic threat actor infiltrating the government, an injunction needs to be filed ASAP and Musk and cronies’ offices raided immediately.
I feel you and I agree, but raided by whom? the doj is compromised along.with virtually every other enforcement agency.
trying to not be defeatist, but our last peaceful hope likely resides in a combination of public protests, insider leaks, non/malicious-compliance and A DIFFERENTIATED, PROGRESSIVE, WORKER/MIDDLE-CLASS PLATFORM FOR 2026 (if we get that far). other than that, there will probably be bloodshed.
