The raspberry pi I got didn’t appear to have a composite out so this seemed like the simplest solution at the time. Thanks to your comment I just now realized that the headphone port is a hybrid composite out so I may try that next and see if there’s a big difference!

If you try it, let me know! I’m using composite out on my 4b and it’s ok but I do feel that it could be better.
I used that same HDMI converter for my Roku I have on another old TV and it works great!
