        Eh, well, no not in principle or ideology, but I replied to a comment that conflated the EU with the recent American presidential elections.

        To clarify, the topic of this post is that Russia has already established strong influence over American politics and must be stopped from gaining such over Europe as well. It is not by “opposition” (not sure what you mean by that), but by legislation by the European Parliament to stop Twitter, TicToc and other social media run in the interest of foreign intelligence operations to interfere with future European elections.

        That is, in the European Union we currently don’t need to oppose the parliament but we all agree that Russia needs to be shut out from our politics and recognize that twatter is now to be considered a political operation in Russian interests to destabilise the west.

        Edit: Explaining to Americans that discussion can actually be about Europe and that they situation in Europe is different than in USA. Downvoted. Yeah, I wonder why you guys have these anger issues everywhere.

      350m people have been affected by it in the US. With the ties we have to Europe, it’s already been happening.
