I’m going to cut them some slack as it was a rubber bullet, and he wasn’t killed. It would still make far more sense to say “shot in head with rubber bullet” though.

Israeli rubber bullets are produced in two main types. The older type, the standard rubber bullet, is a steel sphere coated in a thin layer of rubber, weighing 14 grams, while the newly improved rubber bullet, introduced in 1989, is a rubber-coated metal cylinder 1.7 cm in diameter, weighing 15.4 grams.[18] Of the lethal injuries from this projectile, most are suffered to the head.[18]

The bullet flying out my Colt .45 is 15 grams. This is that, covered in thin rubber.

Hardly turning a blind eye. But one wing of western media is covering it as spectacle, like Israel and Palestine/Lebanon are a couple of wrestlers slapping it out for our horrified amusement. Another wing is going whole hog on the bigotry, insisting Arab Muslims are all sicko terrorist infidels and heavily armed cockroaches, and that they need to be wiped off the face of the earth once and for all.

In either case, the idea that Israel should stop (or be stopped) is never treated seriously. You either get to treat this as a period drama or as a revenge fantasy. But its a show that must go on.

It can happen to anyone, you are walking on the street and a rubber bullet materializes out of thin air and hits you on the head. Always check the weather report for self-materializing bullets before leaving home.
