If the police department can ignore my FOI requests for over a year, I’m sure they can ignore these as well

“Fun” fact, criminal justice records are often subject to different rules than other records. In CO, we have 3 days to respond, or up to 10 if the request is so large that it needs an extension. The police, on the other hand, seem to just fart around forever. FOIA has a longer response time, but I’m guessing most federal agencies don’t get the leeway cops do, so getting a ton of these malicious requests back to back is a real pain in the dick. Speaking from experience, I’m glad I’m not the one dealing with these assholes.

Among the documents they’ve sought are lists of agency personnel and messages sent by individual government workers that mention, among other things, “climate equity,” “voting” or “SOGIE,” an acronym for sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.

They’re literally trying to make a list of people to remove. And the MAGAts are blind to their hypocrisy like always.

I don’t think they’re blind to it, they just use their indignation as a cudgel, and when it comes down to what they want anything goes. They’re electing the embodiment of “might makes right.” They couldn’t possibly care less about hypocrisy as long as they get “to win.”
