Yeah, no touching, thanks. I was molested as a child and didn’t enjoy it.

If that makes me ‘innocent’, whatever.

I’m sorry that you’re uncomfortable that I have boundaries. Maybe it’s a bad idea for you to engage in society, because you’re not very good at it.

What a wild level of self entitlement to post a public comment and then insist everyone else respect your unstated personal boundaries, like they should know your trauma and you’re not the one walking into an obviously sexual space.

This is a shit post. If you’re setting boundaries it would be wise to not say things that sound like a joke (“I’ll bite you”, “checkmate”) so people don’t make sexual jokes in response.

That’s not a joke. I will bite you. Don’t touch me without my consent.

If you do enjoy touching people without their consent, consider fucking right off.

That was a manner of speech. No one actually cares about your wisdom or level thereof as you gauge it, but you’re ignoring much objectivity in your refusal to acknowledge it was perhaps you who did the minor social error.

Good thing I don’t care. I’m sure someone else with boundaries you don’t approve of will come along, in time, for you to tut at.

                Good day.

For someone who grouses about humanity, you’re scorning a ton of them. The only thing I’m angry is I wasted my time trying to get through. Others have explained causality and how absurd it is to expect your mind read. Thank you for wasting the kindness of my explanation of a turn of phrase for someone who amidst their boundaries stated they’re neurodivergent. I love doing that, and that is extreme sarcasm. May you be forever misunderstood.

Why would I not scorn humanity when I don’t endorse it?

                    May you be forever misunderstood.

I live in a world where people don’t fix the issue of hungry children. There’s nothing to ‘understand’, other than that humans are not sufficiently moral.

Bro what? Sir this is a Lemmy’s, you’re not talking to your therapist. Touch some grass if an internet comment that you chose to engage with pushed against your boundaries.

Agreed, you wouldn’t be a good therapist. You don’t seem to be able to grasp that I have boundaries, and that I can communicate them online, after all.

I’m sorry you were molested but you cannot expect strangers to refrain from playing with each other to respect triggers they don’t even know exist. I know it sucks, I know it can even feel like physical pain. But they are not psychic and while we did not ask for trauma, it is our responsibility at the end of the day, not theirs. They’re just having fun and they should be able to do that.

        but you cannot expect strangers

Strangers tend to be humans. I expect humans to be machines for making the world worse. I don’t expect humans to respect my boundaries, quite often, because a large number of humans gain profit from oppressing each other.

Kindness might feel like or look like a choice, but it truly comes from understanding. Lord Buddha came across some children fishing, and asked them how they would react to a hook piercing their cheek, for example.

The concept of ‘me’ as exclusive from other living beings is what allows for harmful distinctions to be made, where ‘me’ can exploit others for profit. In reality, ‘me’ is just one of many living beings, and we are all born, feel pain, and die.
