I think it’s finally happening. The strength of GOP was a uniform set of supporters whereas dems were more like a coalition.
Turns out it’s easier to unite people against a common enemy than based on a shared belief and goal.

It absolutely does. We need to fix it very badly. And we will have 0 chance of that with the current Maga candidate if they get back into office. This time it does matter greatly to keep the self imagined god-king from getting anywhere near our presidency again if we hope to have any chance of a future reform.
