Hugh mistake by whoever started the protest to have an end date for it. Now only a fraction of the ~8000 subs that planned to go blackout indefinitely has remained private. The protest has achieved nothing and Reddit will continue doing its things. Not to disregard the efforts but this is definitely not the right way to protest.
I have a ton of saved posts that I wanted to read at some point(it’s been 2 years) that are now hidden. With how it is going, I may have lost the info contained within.
There is an alternative, though we’re losing time on being able to enact it. We could migrate posts from Reddit, there’s tools to do it, to our Lemmy instance. It’s suggested here: https://dormi.zone/post/11226

r/Warframe has a lot of posts. It’s simply not feasible ever to just copy every single post in existence. If we can define a set of guides that are most valuable and currently missing, then we’d have something we could work with.
I say we’re losing time as it appears that the method I’ve pointed to in the other thread used Reddit’s API. We’ve got the rest of this month until the whole reason the protest started goes into effect and the API becomes functionally unavailable.

Sorry, missed seeing who I was replying to. I recall you’re already aware of the other thread and are in a better position to know the timeframe and options than I am. I was referring to using the scripts & API to grab posts quickly.
