As a former AnCap I can personally confirm that most AnCaps are just young ignorant Anarchists that eventually grow into communists or Anarcho Syndicalists (like me).
The key for me was realizing that the government is another branch of capitalism. I also realized that Anarchy sorta doesn’t work if you keep certain systems of coercive violence and oppression. TLDR: AnCom - class counciousness = AnCap, AnCap + theory = AnCom.

I knew someone similar to you. He spent a lot of time on 4chan as an ancap, but once he entered adulthood and encountered more people he’s now ancom.
