    Night hiking is fun and wonderful on well maintained trails if you have food, water, light and warmth.

    Ask me about the time I fucked myself by not having those things.

      Oh yeah been there before, the last time I was unprepared though it was also the dead of winter with over a foot of snow on the ground.

      Got my car stuck and had to hike down the snow covered road from the trail head until I had cell service. Took a out 2 hours.

      It was sketchy AF but also fun AF

        I once botched an alpine start by getting my buddy’s truck stuck in the snow, took two hours to dig it out and once we were on our way, the sun was rising.

        I did not climb the south sister that day.
