Switzerland will become a member of the EU’s initiative to facilitate the mobilization of military forces and equipment, already including third countries such as the United Kingdom, the United States, Norway and Canada.

Please stop sharing euronews now that Orban has a stake in it.

Since the firing of the Euronews CEO in 2024 there were fears of meddling by Orban, though recent research into Euronews hasn’t found any evidence .

I’m still split on the matter, it’s hard to replace Euronews ( euroactive and euro observer won’t do imo). Using Politico with a looming Axel Springer shadow or euronews with an Orbán shadow. It’s getting hard to find " good and objective news"

RFI and DW are great at replacing the weak spots of Euractiv and politico europe.

DW I use at times for sure. Need to check out RFI, tnx. What about "El Pais ", France.24?

Also AP & Reuters, but I try to avoid US news, and sometimes they miss out on regional flavours.

I think all (mainstream or not) media outlets have different biases, no matter how they portray themselves. Sure, they have great articles every now and then, or have less bias on some topics.

For example DW has some interesting articles on the environment and is blind to islamophobia in Germany. (Yes, I know they have some articles on the topic. Still). Or RFI tends to be problematic in relation to France’s past colonies.

I think it’s best to have different sources and draw conclusions also by reading between the lines.

            never heard of El Pais?

France 24 seems good but their RSS feeds are messy so I don’t use them much.
