Also would still love to hear about god’s jealousy. Why would I worship a jealous god?
Edit: Nah, never mind. This conversation is over. I’m not going to attempt to rationalize with someone who thinks suffering “is a gracious gift of love from god”. Makes me want to fucking vomit.
Why? We have the gift of life, even as we choose death, we have good things even as we choose to turn away from good, that is a message of pure love, why is it gross?
I’m explaining the perspective of the story, and that assumes God exists and things work in this way.
Then what is gross is humanity claiming ownership of what doesn’t belong to it; there’s no surrender, just recognition of how things are.
I do know He exists, because He has shown it to me.
He shows Himself in between relationships, but there’s no experiment that can induce it, so there’s no “proof”.
And it’s not a passive “surrender” of autonomy, He explicitly tells to share His gifts, so if I have wealth, I will share it with those that don’t;
if I have knowledge, I will teach;
if I have strength, I will carry those who don’t;
if I have food, I will feed the hungry;
if I have intelligence, I will use it to create things to help others.
Fucking gross. You’re in a death cult, wake up.

You read wrong what I wrote, every moment that is NOT death and suffering is a gift from God.
Just as gross.
Why? We have the gift of life, even as we choose death, we have good things even as we choose to turn away from good, that is a message of pure love, why is it gross?
It’s gross because you are surrendering your autonomy to an entity that you cannot provide a single shred of evidence for existing.
