We’ve had some percale sheets from The Company Store for a while. I recommend that brand/website.

This will likely create a paradigm shift in joinery. Not just wood joining, either. Get ready to see skyscrapers get taller and bridges get longer.
Can you solve that fir me?
I think fragmentation in the community would only really be a factor if there was some sort of rift, and not from having options on where to post. A similar conversation has taken place on Discord, wondering if Discord was absorbing posts and content that should instead be put on Reddit. I don’t know the answer to that.
r/wetshaving lost some people during the enshitification of Reddit (the website, not the community). Freedberg comes to mind. I believe some people here are in the same boat, where they just decided they were done with their Reddit accounts.
So to me the question is, if Lemmy wasn’t here, would anybody start posting on Reddit again? I think the answer is no. I’m a hybrid, where I still post there from time to time and enjoy answering questions in the DQT, but I only post my SOTDs here for the most part, and sometimes in Discord. The reason for that is because I’m angry with Reddit, but recognize that I’m stuck using it :-)
Lemmy started as a quick alternative during the Reddit boycott, and has survived as just another place to post. If something happens with Reddit again, Lemmy is ready to go!

This combo really came together nicely. La Forêt de Liguist is a really interesting scent. Dry forest smells, almost musty, but brightened up a tad by something. Delor de Treget is more of a citrus type scent, but along the same vein. Proceeding to get even brighter, Heather topped it all off with a big burst of clary sage.
The pushbutton was really nice. Slightly milder than the MMOC, but just as efficient and fun to use. Mechanically it’s not nearly as interesting as the MMOC, but it’s still sort of cool in that department.
I think there were two upon delivery.
Sample has arrived safe and sound. I find it hilarious to have customs forms on a letter envelope with soap in it.
I am. Was $25 for 1 test? That’s a lot.
They’re $10-12 USD per test where I live.
What do you mean about a phone app? How would that possibly be a reliable test?

Nocturne is a really good scent. Not too apple-y, and the little whiffs of woodsmoke round it out and add a deepness to it. People used to say the ZM vegan base made it smell different, but I don’t have anything to compare it to.

A really nice travel shave. I almost over did it with the efficient 2-blade cart, but knew when to stop.
I haven’t had to spend a night away from home for work in over 2 months! It has been great, but nothing wrong with a little break from reality.

I shaved last night so I could head out the door early this morning. I wanted a super close shave that’ll last me until late afternoon, and the MMOC did a great job.
I was also inspired by @DaveWave94 (sorry, tagging is a missing feature in Jerboa), but had better luck than him with a fresh PTFE blade. I’ve definitely had rough first shaves, but as I gain experience I’m starting to blame it on technique.
I’m no judge, but I feel like the other photos are a better display of skill, luck, timing, etc.
That’s on my to-do list.
That’s good

Only 2 passes because I’ll have to shave again later today (or maybe wake up really early tomorrow morning) for work. I prefer 3 passes :)
This blade is exceeding my expectations. I don’t know why, but I just assumed moving manufacturing from Germany to Egypt would result in a worse blade. They’re slightly different based on my earlier side-by-side testing, but the new ones are worthy of my support.
Roam Two++ is very different from OG Roam, but it’s a fantastic scent.
There are two types, CMR and SMR. You can read online about the differences. CMR is better because SMR tries to be all fancy in order to increase capacity, but at the cost of speed and data integrity.
It won’t be front and center in the specs of a particular drive, but you usually find the info somewhere.
I wouldn’t worry about higher capacity failing sooner. If you have 10x4TB vs 2x20TB, that’s 5x as many drives to go bad. So a 20TB drive would need a 5x worse fail rate to be considered worse. A pro of larger (fewer) drives is lower power consumption. 5-10 watts per drive doesn’t sound like much, but it adds up.
This is a good idea, and hopefully will help people get a leg up. Better credit scores can save you money by opening up lower interest rates.
Good question, and I’m curious what the experts say. Surely it depends on the software that handles DHCP.
I’ve always set static addresses in the DHCP address range and it has always been reserved and never assigned to other devices. I’ve used ASUS and MikroTik for what it’s worth.
If you’re the type to set static addresses on the devices themselves, then that would certainly increase the risk of a conflict if it’s inside the address range.
Wow, that’s a lot of orders.
Is Hipster the same as Stirling’s version?
