  • I’ve never broken my frames but I also never sat on them. One set of glasses had the same frame for nearly ten years now and I’ve only replaced the lenses due to scratches. The only time I had an issue with lenses/frame breaking was when I had one of those “frameless frames” that are only connected to the glasses through a small point.

I just looked it up and it was actually the opposite: vegetables were taxed and fruits were not. Then somebody argued that they shouldn’t have to pay and the court decided that yes, botanically speaking tomatoes are fruit, but in their ordinary meaning (which is used in commerce and trade) they are a vegetable. And that a tomato is used and prepared like a vegetable so it should be classified as that.

I once flew in a hot air balloon and it was pretty amazing. When the flamethrower was off it was super quiet and you could hear the sounds from below. Also being able to constantly have this drop-down view is something you don’t have anywhere else and it just gives you a new perspective on the stuff you see

I hope somebody can help me with this: could a bee theoretically evolve to have a stronger stinger so that stinging a human’s skin multiple times would be possible?

If bees would evolve like other animals those who survive stinging humans would produce more offspring, but in this case only the queen produces offspring and the queen probably contact with human skin so this trait wouldn’t be favoured by evolution. Or am I looking at this wrong?
