Pleroma has such Invites, and Manyverse/SSB Rooms too.

This a great thing.

Linux. Debian.

Is there another pissibility, why you ask “and why”?

I switched from fvwm2 with heavy customizing over to gnome3 years ago.

I love that UX. Use it all day. Private and on my work-computer.

You can also use friendica… it has all the features, people are asking for…

If there’s a community serverA/tiki, you can search on serverB for serverA/tiki and join the community serverA/tiki from serverB. Content ist replicated to serverB and back.

serverB/tiki@serverA is the replica you can fully use on serverB. This can exist beside serverB/tiki, which is a different community.

If someone writes a posting or comment on serverA/tiki, you can see it in serverB/tiki@serverA.

If someone writes a posting or comment on serverB/tiki@serverA, you can see it in serverA/tiki. (And even on serverC/tiki@serverA)

I run my own instance… Only for me.

It runs on s 2-core VM beside ejabberd and matrix-synapse.

You can follow each community you want, and create Communities, others can follow.

Just do it.

I run my own Fediverse Instances.

Friendica, Lemmy, Pixelfed, Peertube…

Yes. You can add RSS-Feeds with friendica. I do this with some feeds succsessfully.

It uses it as attachment…

And yes… i would prefer, if mastodon could handle subjects…

Lemmy has to make workarounds, because mastodon does not support subjects…

🙄🤫

That’s the main feature, i use friendica. I had a Twitter-Account for years… never used, because i always missed the context… That’s why i used facebook before the fediverse… because i need context and space to make short or even very long ansers… in one posting. That’s also, why i use friendica… looooooong answers… and images inside the text.

And yes… i didn’t say thank you to you and you work.

Lemmy is so cool.

And my part to make it better is to report bugs, if i find some…

Thank you so much, for your work!

First i see this and click to “Subscribe pending”

then i have to click “Subscribe”

and then, the subscription was successful.

but i was subscribed at all these communities before the upgrade.

I faced another thing…

Almost all of my joined communities are now not following, just pending…

I have to cancel the following-request and follow again. This happens after upgrade to 0.17.0

@dessalines@dessalines@lemmy.ml @nutomic@nutomic@lemmy.ml

here is answering in “Deutsch” not possible.

@dessalines@lemmy.ml And here, i tried to answer with setting “Deutsch” too, the same as just before:

and i geht this:

@dessalines@lemmy.ml And here, i tried to answer with setting “Deutsch” too, the same as just before:

(i changed now to English, that i can post this comment now)

This answer i made with setting “German” And here it workes.

The same setting on a comment in the same community, the same posting, but other answer works… this is strange.

This error happens in THIS comment-thread. Sometimes i can answer with “German” and then i’m not allowed

And searching for Peertube-Channels does not work any more. I created a bugreport https://github.com/LemmyNet/lemmy-ui/issues/920

Here is the same. I can not create a comment, when setting for this comment is “Deutsch”. The errormessage on the server is:

This appeared exactly when i got the error-message in lemmi UI.

I’ve set “English” and “German” as Languages in Admin-Panel.

@nutomic@lemmy.ml here on THIS comment, i can not create a comment, using “Deutsch”. I get the error

Now i create it with “English” (look at the screenshot), and it works.

this comments are working in “Deutsch” again… in the same thread, as the complaining comment too…

Now i could reproduce it.

The errormessage was “Language not allowed” in the left down corner.

In the browser-console is maybe this:

Error: waitForElement timed out
    timeout moz-extension://f70e01a3-f559-457f-b29b-94679a9ff60e/content_script/mastodonInject.js:60

``` but i don't know.
And you see the spinner in the "Answer-Button" left under the comment-field. It does not come back. It stays spinning. So i hat do copy the comment, cancel the action and repost it again, choosing "english" as language instead of "Deutsch"
Send emails from lemmy docker via localhost:25 not possible
I have a mailserver running on the Host, where lemmy is installed. Since a time, i didn’t know when, i can’t send emails from lemmy anymore. Connection refused. It is an exim4 configured as satellite listening on localhost:25. I configured exim to allow also connections from 172.17.0.0/16 and listen on 172.17.0.1 too, which is the docker-bridge ip. Are there any ideas, how to configure docker or the docker-compose.yml?
