How about making it owned by the workers or the customers? Why should people have to line corporate pockets to have access to drinking water?
More than one thing can be bad
Currently I cannot edit using my VPN as that is blocked by Wikipedia, so I guess if that remains the case and they are forced to implement ID to edit articles, then I will no longer be able to contribute
Thank you for providing content for me to engage with.
It’s always a mix at events like this. I heard from friends who were arrested that while some officers were violent, most people weren’t cuffed (which is unusual for protests like this) and one arestee had this to say about their arrest:
When I was taken to a room for interview at the Police Station, there was a plain clothes officer who I later discovered was from an anti terrorism unit.
As my HJA solicitor and the other officer were still outside the room I was alone with this officer for a few seconds he spoke directly to me. " let’s get this crap done, I’ve done some pretty crap things but this has to be the worst."
The " No comment" interview followed and when the recording was completed,I apologised for my blank response to all their questions. Both officers responded in the kindest way by saying please don’t worry we know it’s what you have to do.
These are all arrests under section 13, which if charged can only be tried at a magistrate’s court. In my experience magistrates often say “this isn’t a court of ethics or morals, it’s a court of law. I just enforce the law” which is only a moral thing to say if you think that the system by which laws are decided is fair, which it clearly isn’t.
Also just saying “yeah I agree with and will enforce whatever the current czar says is right” is a crazily limp-dicked spineless belief to hold.
Recruitment implies they have a choice
They only arrested the people that stayed to get nicked. Within the hour of the protest less than 100 people were arrested. Most who were arrested never went to a police station, only to a gazebo where they were given bail not to partake in any Palestine related protests and then sent on their way. No charges etc so far.
It does support fullscreen but it’s nice for the player to be larger imo. You can still scroll down for the description etc
Or you’re just born on an airplane
Labour has accused Farage and Reform UK of being “on the side of predators like Savile” by opposing the Online Safety Act.
He probably is on the side of predators, but not because he opposes the public surveillance act
You reap what you sow
I was hopeful for this when I heard that Ecosia and Qwant were working together to reduce reliance on Microsoft and Google, but a search engine “designed specifically for LLMs and generative AI agents” was not what I was hoping for.
Sabotage wasn’t on the table already?
I wonder which industry paid for this 🤪
I highly reccomend comaps which has turn-by-turn directions and doesn’t require Google services.
