A good seasoning should withstand some pretty brutal punishment. And even if it doesn’t, you can easily reseason the pan which you’ll have to do from time to time regardless.

I season my cookie sheets the same way. I’ve put them in the dishwasher, hit them with those steel wire soapy things, used barkeeper’s friend, not much has taken the seasoning off once it’s on there.

Except for lemon juice. Lemon juice fucks it right up.

The glass cooktops are insanely scratch resistant. I use a metal scraper to clean mine.

It’s one thing to demand justice for those who cannot obtain it themselves. That is noble, and just.

It’s quite another to lament all day about the guy who absent mindedly stole your place in the self checkout lane. To lay in accusations of malice when ignorance would otherwise do.

I’ll grant you that the way things should be is very often at odds with the way things are. But no person I’ve met who I would describe as an obsessively negative person could ever be labeled an optimist. Their view of the world is always one of conflict. No grace given for innocent mistakes, no breath taken when the weight of the world comes down upon their shoulders in a way that simply cannot be changed. These people are ever the victim of their own mentality.

I wonder if they can experience joy because they seem hard wired to find the fault in every bit of happiness. To seek out sour grapes and bitter apples in every bowl of sweet fruit.

The fact that they cross as often as they DO is insane.

Skill issue

I have a picture of luddites smashing looms on my bench at work. It’s one of the first things a tour would see as they walk through.

Second, she, almost certainly, has a difficult time finding reliable people to game with that don’t ultimately confess some unrequited affection for her. As a result, she will instinctively pull away from relationships she feels are heading in that direction.

Something I wish I had learned earlier, If you have to initiate every conversation, you can just stop. She’s moved on, you can too. You’ll be ok guy.

It’s so mind numbingly large that light, which would encircle the equator 7 times in a second, takes 8 fucking minutes to get to us from the sun. And 4 years to get to us from the nearest star.

If we shrunk down the universe so that the sun was about the size of a grain of sand, the nearest star would be 10,000 miles away and there would be nothing but emptiness between us. A few scattered atoms floating about, so rare and distant that hitting one would be less likely than winning the lottery twice in a row while being struck by lightning.

I always wonder if obsessively negative people ever feel joy. Or are they just wired to carry around rage boners all the time. If it isn’t exhausting I just can’t see how they can be happy
