When establishment liberals say things like “it’s complicated” regarding our rampant enabling of genocide, slavery, and other forms of exploitation and destruction, the thing that makes it “complicated” is that profits would decline if we didn’t enable such atrocities. That is to say, it’s not complicated at all, unless you choose to see entire demographics as subhuman.

It’s always ironic when neoliberals call out tankies for denying or rationalizing genocidal regimes, because we ourselves are a genocidal regime, and the entire worldview these liberals espouse is dependent on it being so. If one wants to ban tankies from online spaces for this reason, it would be wise to ban neolibs as well, for consistency.
