I had that too, occasionally it would get infected and swell the entire side of my face it was on. My American insurance (Kaiser Permanente) covered surgery for removing the pit. Highly recommend looking into getting it removed, although I do miss the satisfaction of squeezing it out.

For years I wondered why when I scratched my left ear, it would feel kinda wet and then I’d get like lump in my throat, and then my finger would smell terrible. But on my right side this never happened.

After I got married my wife asked to pop the pimple on my ear. I didn’t know what she meant, but I let her. Anyway a quarter century of this horrible white pus oozed out, and then we looked into what on earth just happened.

I have a cyst on the centre of the back of my neck that does this. But squeezing it doesn’t permanently solve anything.

Think of it this way - it’s a little defect in the skin. Instead of your skin shedding and falling off/washing off your body, you have a little pocket that keeps collecting those skin cells (cells are shedding inside the pocket.) That’s why it smells gross and comes back even after you squeeze it. To get rid of it permanently, it would need to be surgically removed. Totally Dr Pimple Popper territory.
