Far-right Republican congresswoman, Trump ally and potential vice-presidential pick Marjorie Taylor Greene told a British interviewer to “Fuck off”, when asked about her frequent repetition of conspiracy theories.

Emily Maitlis, formerly a senior journalist at the BBC and now a presenter of the News Agents podcast, spoke to Greene at Donald Trump’s Super Tuesday celebration at Mar-a-Lago in Florida, as the former president closed in on the Republican nomination.

Raising a famous instance of the congresswoman’s eager conspiracy theorising, concerning what she thought was to blame for starting forest fires, Maitlis said: “What about Jewish space lasers? Tell us about Jewish space lasers.”

“No,” Greene said. “Why don’t you go talk about Jewish space lasers and really, why don’t you fuck off? How about that?”

“Thank you very much,” Maitlis said, as Greene walked away.

Wait… So all this time I have been led to believe that MTG actually said “Jewish space lasers”, when in reality that is a media twist and she was just speculating on government corruption (in collusion with corporations).

What a wild time of disinformation we live in.

1: if you actually thought the words “Jewish space lasers” came out of a politicians mouth and didn’t go to verify that for yourself, that’s on you.

2: I bet you also believe the mafia boss who said “it sure would be a shame if that guy who I want dead were to suddenly die” in front of all his goons, he’s innocent when the guy ends up dead 3 hours later. Because he didn’t technically say the words “I want one of you to kill him”

That “just” is doing a lot of heavy lifting. Shes namedropping Rothschilds and talking about satellites which beam focused light down to earth. So while she never directly said “jewish space lasers” it is at least heavily implied by her.

Your problem is that she didn’t use those specific words? She just named a few Jewish corporate execs who she’s saying have satellites in space that beam solar energy back to earth that might be responsible for the fires? But she didn’t call that beamed solar energy a laser, and she didn’t specifically mention the religion/heritage of the guys she called out, so it’s a non-story?

“Speculating” is a very generous word for the insinuating she’s doing there.

I mean, she did point the finger at a group that is part of a lot of antisemitic conspiracy theories.

I wondered all my life how people, or even any one person, could be so stupid as to fall for stochastic terrorism.

Now here’s a good comment I’ll save for reference for how those dummy npc goons in dystopia movies get made.
