I always believed that there were none, but on a rewatch of QI, I learned there are actually two:
- Hurple / hirple: To limp (verb) or a limping gait (noun)
- Curple: A strap under the girth of a horse’s saddle to stop the saddle from kicking forward.

Good morning, that’s a nurple tnetennba.
You mean to tell me you’ve never slurpled a nurple?
I love burple nurples
I can finally finish my limerick!
A horse that was wearing a curple,
Found the sting of a wasp made him hirple,
Said the horse, “I don’t mind”
“But I’m starting to find,”
“That the spot of the sting has turned purple!”I regret that I have but one upvote to give.
I’ll treasure it always :-)
Take my upvote
I’ve been at it so long that my head’s thick,
Don’t forget door hinge
…guess the song’s over, then.
And a “chilver” is a female lamb
If you’re interested in words, Something Rhymes with Purple is a podcast with Susie Dent and Gyles Brandreth.
Whenever Gyles is on Qi, about half the episode is him going off on an anecdote.
Edit: Fixed spelling
Whenever Giles is on Qi, about half the episode is him going off on an anecdote.
I think it’s Brandreth? Not gonna lie, those are some of the best ones. You never know if what he’s saying is 100% true because he was there or 100% out of his ass. Either way, you leave entertained.
I will go back and rewatch his episodes just to hear the fun Grandpa stories!
(Also, fixed the spelling, I got that all kindsa wrong)
I just googled him. lol. I had the last name right, but his first name is spelled with a ‘y’.
Nurple. As in
“C’mere twerp! I’m about to give you the worst purple nurple of yer life!”
What is light urple?

Is that not the gentleman named Urple? The humorous fellow with glasses, who likes cheese?

I like blurple: a mix of blue and purple.
Unfortunately, it’s not a real word although it absolutely should be. There are car paint colors that I can only accurately describe as “blurple” lol.
“Real” words aren’t a thing.
Dictionaries describe natural language, they don’t define it.
Yes I knew it’s not real. But I like to think it is. I would like a car with blurple racing stripes!
Maple surple
Nope. But I think I might have had that on my pancakes yesterday
Sorry, Alan.
