So I bought a toy from a&e cause a youtuber had a 50% off code. I ended up buying a shroomie by Maia. It just came today but it seems it could be used. Against my better judgement I cleaned it and used it, cause horny brain is stupid brain. I’m very worried now about potentially getting an STD, and after investigating the company more I really regret buying from them and using the toy.

The first worrying thing is that there is a greasy finger print inside of the packaging. It’s on the plastic film that lets you see the product in the packaging. Its possible that maybe it’s grease from the toy if that’s a thing?, but I’m pretty sure it’s a fingerprint.

Next is that the packaging is damaged (dents and a few scratches) and there are no stickers or anything keeping it closed except magnets. It’s very easy to open and close the box and no one would be the wiser that you did. The toy itself is just in the box and doesn’t have any protective plastic over it.

The one thing is that the toy did not smell bad at all. There was no silicone smell or anything it actually smelled kinda floral?

I did clean it with bad dragon toy cleaner before I used it, and if it was used I hope that was enough to sanitize it. For the time being I’m not going to use it again, but at least the front of the box is cool.

Toy cleaner should be fine. If you’re worried about it in the future, you can put platinum cure silicone toys through the dishwasher, or boil them for a few minutes. I boil toys I buy second hand, and always wash new ones with hot water and dish soap anyways, cause you never know what might be left on them from the manufacturing process
