Scrap elected boards of education. Adopt a centralized, independently regulated department for education. School policies and curriculums should not function as political playgrounds.

    Also, adopt hate speech laws.

Who would control the department of education? What would you do to safeguard against institutionalized transphobia aside from not having elected boards?

Would you put intentional misgendering into the hate speech laws or just things like slurs

I would make it illegal to discriminate against people on the basis of gender identity.

Still not a law where I’m from.

Agreed on the first two points. Can’t believe it’s not considered common sense to the majority of people.

Very interesting points you bring up on the last section. With the rigorous coursework and the likes, it won’t be realistic to implement without significant modifications depending on the person, as you mentioned.

Neurodivergence prevents everyone from learning and processing things in the same way. So, for some there would be simpler terminology, more visuals, cartoons, etc. Age would also need to be taken into account, because I’ve unfortunately met some quite young bigots in my time.

Love the idea of people devoting their lives to the study of bigots. It’s such an under reseached field since it’s not the most profitable endeavor. Imagine all the things we would learn…

What do you envision the rewards being for people who are deradicalized?

In addition to anti discrimination laws the big one for me would be universal healthcare, with no prior authorizations but a team that goes in after the fact and follows up with doctors on occasion to prevent fraud. It would be amazing to no longer have to worry about death panels preventing access to the one medication that keeps me from killing myself, my testosterone. And it’ll help everyone else too.

I also wish they’d put testosterone down a schedule or two on the drug charts so it’s easier to access. If bodybuilders wanna abuse it that’s on them.
