I wish there was a local furry community here. I don’t know if I’d participate in it if there was, but it’d be neat to know they exist, at least.
Yeah, i looked really hard and my city of 300k has maybe three furries in it. The neighboring city of half the size has a small convention.
Nope. If something started now maybe, but I’ve always been too nervous to go to anything. Me interacting here is my first attempt at any sort of community.
Nope. Perhaps I would have done in another life if my history were different. Might have been healthy and good for me.
But alas, currently my mental health is not good enough to push myself out there.
My local furry community is 100 miles away. I used to participate despite that, making the three hour drive for their monthly meetups. But the drama got to be too much for me. It stopped being fun when I had to spend a lot of time keeping track of who the leadership was this month, and when every fursuit walk was delayed by up to an hour because one person was incapable of even starting to get ready until 5 seconds before it was due to start - and then there’d be multiple delays during the walk because he’d fucking run into traffic and the spotters and handlers would spend more time making sure he didn’t kill himself than looking after the rest of the group.
Yes a fairly local one. It’s always nice seeing familiar faces at meets! Sometimes I prefer to just hang out with furs, outside of a meet.
I live in nowhere if there furries here I don’t know about them
Yes I do! Sadly not as much as I would want to and my local community is not very big, but I try to participate in it time to time
